Grosvenor Lawn Tennis Club Junior Tennis
As Part of the Junior membership package each junior member will receive an inclusive 1 hour and 15 minutes coaching. The information below details the the junior tennis program at Grosvenor Lawn Tennis Club.
We our proud to offer a wide range of junior tennis options, whether you are just starting out and want to learn how to play, through to team tennis for those that want to develop and take their game to the next level.
Grosvenor tries to give its juniors as much team tennis experience as possible, making it a great club if you are looking to gain experience playing in the Essex junior tennis leagues. The club enters four junior boys teams into the Chelmsford League, which are:
- Under 16
- Under 14
- Under 12 A
- Under 12 B
Grosvenor takes the same approach with girls tennis to give its junior girls the same level of team experience. The club enters one girls team into the Chelmsford League which is the:
- Under 14
The club runs a junior tournament which has singles and doubles events. The finals day takes place in July and the matches leading up to the final are played from April onwards. The events include:
- Boys Under 18 Singles and Doubles
- Boys Under 14 Singles and Doubles
- Boys Under 12 Singles
- Boys Under 10 Single
- Girls Under 18 Singles and Doubles
- Girls Under 14 Singles
- Girls Under 12 Singles
- Girls Under 10 Singles
A fun mini green tennis tournament is run once a year for club junior members.
School holiday coaching courses are run for the junior members as well as non members, these courses provide a fun and exciting way for the juniors to develop their tennis skills. These courses take place during the Easter and Summer school holidays. Each course is coached in a way that caters for juniors of all standard – by running a range of sessions across five hours per day, we are able to tailor each hour long session for certain standards of player. These courses are open to junior tennis players from across the county. The categories that the coach runs include:
- Mini Red
- Mini Orange
- Mini Green
- Club Junior
