The club employs Jill Freeman as their club coach. Jill has been the club coach at Grosvenor for 10 years. Since becoming the club coach Jill has transformed the Junior coaching programme at the club and continues in her effort to promote tennis to young players and develop talented players for the club. Jill also provides adult coaching for all levels of player.
As part of Jill’s coaching achievements she developed one of the counties top young players (Helen Parish) who until a recent injury held a world ranking and played in tournaments across the world. Currently Jill is coaching a number of young juniors which are part of the Essex training squads.
This success is down to the fact the we strive to make tennis a fun and enjoyable sport for young people. This approach to coaching has proven successful and thus Jill runs a number of school holiday courses at Easter and in the Summer break which are always full and enjoyed by all. Jill also runs a pay and play scheme on Saturday mornings from 9 – 10 am which is exclusively for junior players.
Our successful junior coaching coaching programme is aided by Jill being the tennis coach at a number of local schools. The schools that Jill currently coaches at are: St Josephs and Upminster Infant School.
