Club History

Grosvenor Lawn Tennis Club was establishedin1923 and is affiliated to the Essex Lawn Tennis Association, the club is also an accredited mini tennis club.

Grovenor Tennis club has four artificial grass courts two of which are floodlit. Within the grounds overlooking the courts is the clubhouse. The clubhouse consists of the changing rooms, kitchen, bar and seating area, all of which have been newly refurbished (2005). Next to the club house overlooking court 3 is a very well maintained garden area.

The aim of Grosvenor Tennis Club is to provide excellent facilities and a friendly atmosphere for players of all standards.

Social tennis takes place on a Tuesday and Thursday morning and evening as well as Sunday morning. In addition to this club members often use early Saturday afternoon unofficial social play.

The club runs a number of tournaments throughout the year for those who have a competitive streak in them. For players who are of a higher enough standard the club enters teams in to the Essex League as well as the Romford and District League. Junior teams are also entered into various leagues throughout the year.

Coaching is available all year round from the club coach
